Brite Core Mat Boards, for minimum levels of conservation framing of brightly colored, sports, animation, and children's art
- Crescent Brite Core Mat Boards are two-sided conservation quality mat boards. They feature brightly colored cores with matching surface papers on one side and a white or black surface paper on the other side. They are made of alpha-cellulose (wood pulp) fibers that have been chemically treated to eliminate the acids and lignins that can degrade the mat board and the artwork. Alpha-cellulose based mat boards are suitable for minimum levels of conservation framing and as an alternative to non-conservation matting.
- Components: Acid-free and lignin-free. Extra thick bright-colored conservation cores with matching conservation surface papers. Colors pigmented for optimum bleed and fade resistance. pH 7.5-8.5. Buffered with calcium carbonate to an alkaline reserve of 3-5%. Size 32"x40" (81x102cm).
