Description
Document Repair Tape. Roll 1"x98'. Self-adhesive, acid-free, neutral pH. Lineco document repair tape provides quick, safe repairs or stabilization for torn art, books, or documents. Uses a strong, very thin translucent acid-free tissue coated with neutral pH self-stick adhesive. When applied, the tape virtually disappears to give an unobtrusive and safe repair. While the repair is permanent, the tape may be removed with mineral spirits if desired. Useful to repair and stabilize art when economics or other factors do not warrant treatment by a trained conservator. To use repair tape or tissue: Dispense a length appropriate for the area to be mended. Place over the tear, burnish gently, working the adhesive into the tear itself. For extra strength, do the same to the reverse side of the tear. Recommended use on the back of art for simple repairs. However, major repairs should be referred to a conservator.X
